Umfeld is a personal CRM built on the Model Context Protocol. It turns your address book into a relationship graph and hands that graph to the AI you already use. The name is German and means exactly that: the people and the environment around you.
The problem
Assistants like Claude and ChatGPT know a lot about the world and nothing about the people in your life. They don’t know the former colleague you haven’t spoken to in eleven months, or the founder in Lisbon you keep meaning to message. Traditional CRMs don’t help, because they were built for sales: leads, deals, pipelines. Relationships don’t run in quarters.
How it works
Umfeld sits between your address book and your assistant. Google Contacts syncs both ways, so changes flow back and your address book stays the source of truth. Email and calendar add the last point of contact and shared events. New people enter the graph through a voice note, a forwarded email or a photo of a business card, with no form to fill in.
Every person becomes a node: who they are, how you met, when you last spoke, how warm the connection is right now. The health score behind that comes from last contact, frequency and intensity.
The MCP server
The MCP server is the real core. Any compliant client can read and write the graph: Claude on desktop and web, ChatGPT via connectors, Cursor, and anything else that speaks MCP. The tools are typed and cover people, companies, notes, events and follow-ups.
That makes it possible to ask the kind of question you would otherwise ask a person with an excellent memory. Who do I know at OpenAI? Which founders did I meet in Lisbon this year? Whose birthday is next week? The answer comes out of the graph, without filter menus or field names.
Access runs through scoped OAuth. You grant it per client and revoke it whenever you want.
Privacy and pricing
Umfeld is hosted in Germany and the connection is SSL encrypted. There is a single plan with no contact limit: seven days free, then 6 € per month, with a discount for paying yearly.
